EARLY NINETEENTH CENTURY FIGURED MAHOGANY AND BRASS INLAID BRACKET CLOCK, SIGNED HILLS, SUDBURY, the 8” enamelled Roman dial, powered by a twin fusee movement, striking on a bell, and housed in a moulded case with leaf carvings to the top and fore corners, conforming brass inlay beneath the dial and Gothic pierced brass side frets, raised on a plinth base with compressed bun feet, 18 ¼” (46.3cm) high, dial with re-painting, mostly to the centre and edge, not obviously to the name or place name, rear door possibly later?
