Although this artist would appear to be un-recorded, a connection with the artist Henry Charles Bryant (1835-1915) is most likely owing to a strong similarity of figurative work and attention to detail. Coincidentally there exists a portrait of Charles Dickens by H C Bryant in the Portsmouth Art Gallery
